WOYWW 87

Hello! I hope you are all doing well, and if you're not, I hope you will be soon :)

This wednesday, I'll show you a layout I made with some of my American Crafts Botanique kit. It's a discontinued line but you might be able to find a kit in a discount store near you (in the U.S). The kit I bought was missing about 20 chipboard pieces, I sent their customer service an email and they were so nice and helpful. They sent me replacements, wasn't that wonderful! Not every company stands by their products anymore so I thought I would share my experience ;)

Anyway, here's the layout. I tried to make some yarn flowers inspired by Jillibean soup's bean blossoms. I got the idea from Suzy's blog.

I haven't glued anything down yet. I don't know if the yarn flower in the middle of the 2 pictures looks ok. Should I take it off or put something else there instead? any thoughts?

Thanks for visiting! I'm off to see what's on your desk...

  8. Hi Jilly - if monies last out I will be going to Northridge as I haven't done a Joannes as yet. We went last year so should be able to find our way if my friend does not want to go (we can borrow her car).

  15. Hi Karla, lovely layout and those yarn flowers are such a good idea. Have you made up your mind about the flower in the centre yet, I wonder? I think it looks good becaue the colour is picked up in the papers and the photographs - just my view of it. Elizabeth x #96

  17. Super neat yarn flower, I usually look at my layout for a day before I stick it down. You'll know what you like. You can always get some UnDo, that stuff will take anything apart without ruining anything. Not even your pics.

Thanks for the peek and sharing, hugs Marjo Lucky #1.

  20. I like the yarn flower and layout--seems like you could put a couple of small things (buttons or brads) with the yarn flower to complete it maybe. just an opinion, but I like it!

  21. That's a lovely vibrant layout and great to hear of the good service from that company.
Thanks for visiting me... shame... we could have met up whilst I was in LA! Yes! America treated us well and we met so many wonderful people. However, I hated being force fed ice! I was almost shouting "no ice" even when I got a coffee! LOL!
