Steampunk Pretty

I'm very excited to show you all my steampunk mini album. It's a very fitting end of summer celebration for me. I get to go back to school later today and I'm not happy about that! But I'll try to make the best of it and sneak in some time to craft ;)

Inside, the album is decorated with as many gears and movable parts as I could include. Each page or set of pages has a theme and they're based on photos that my husband took during our summer trip. He takes beautiful, interesting pictures of random things. I've been wanting to do a mini album for a while with those pictures.Of course there are many more pictures than I can fit in one album, but these are some of my favorites.

What did I use?
The album is from Maya Road and the stickers are dazzles from Hot off the Press.I used lots of Tim Holtz sprocket gears, game spinners, ball chain and locks & keys. Also used Maya Road trinkets flower elements, Distress inks in tea dye and antique linen(ribbon), Tattered Angels mist in coffee shop and Smooch Spritz in Walnut. Also various brown ink pads. I used lots of perfect pearls in heirloom gold and tsukineko brilliance ink in cosmic copper. The papers are mostly from DCWV tattered time stack and just a couple from GCD studios antiquities. The clock background is a free download from hot off the press.

Hope you enjoyed! I'm off to school now...Aaaaaah!!!!! LOL

  2. Hope school was ok for you - first day back is usually ok (isn't it?)
Well what can I say about this album - fab-u-lous!
So many parts I could pick out to say something about - love how you have done the penny farthing and those photos of the door knocker and the key hole - wow, I love taking pictures of things like that but never got any so good.
Those chains look fantastic that hang down with the gears on them and I love whatever is behind the lions head knocker.
You must be so chuffed! Hugs, Neet x

  9. Just found this through a post on FB (Scrapbooking 24/7) Love that your husband takes photos you can scrap, would love that if my hubby would do that! Did you cut your gears yourself or buy the chipboard precut? Would love to try this out!
