Playing with texture

This is my LO for the September Stack-a-holic Challenge over at the DCWV blog.
I used the following stacks:  Quince Blossom, Printed Cork 12x12, Natural Cork 12x12 & Corrugate 6x6.

You know what?!
The natural cork and printed cork stacks work super well for die cutting and punching!!! I'm so excited about that! Imagine the possibilities!

 On to my LO...
I love when my dogs lie down like this... I think the legs look so cute! Puppies usually do this more than older dogs, so I kinda miss it when my dogs stop doing it often.

The journaling for my LO is written in the yellow tag which is tucked in behind the large photo.
I wrote it as a list comparing my dog in 2008 (less than a year old) and today (6 years old). Some things have changed and some have stayed the same.
For example, his tail had some black in it before, but its only brown and white now.
He used to chew everything, but now likes to lick stuff instead
He still does the chicken leg and he still loves to lie down in sunny spots.
oh! and he's always LOVED SQUEAKY toys!

About the challenge...
This month, there's a 2 page sketch, but I chose to do only the left side.
I didn't feel like my story needed 2 pages.

Here's the card sketch:

SO cute, right?!

I had to give it a try and here's what I came up with:

I used Quince Blossom, Natural Cork 12x12, Vintage Essentials & Printed Burlap 12x12

Hope you get a chance to play along with us! :)

  2. Oh, these decors are so cute. Decorating are one of my favorite things to do and it's really great that you shared these things with us. And before I forgot, your sister did a great job! Thank you.
