Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! or Happy Holidays!  Whatever you celebrate, I hope you spend this time the way you want! Whatever floats your boat :)    I'll be spending today at home, relaxing with my family. We're not going to make a big meal or have a bunch of people over...we're just going to spend time together :) Of course, the baby is going to open her first Christmas present and there will be lots of pictures taken!  I made this quick and simple card for a friend using the DCWV Candy Cane Lane Stack, adhesive mirror stars, gem sheets and the silver foil box of cards.

Moose Tracks

So it's my favorite ice cream, but also...there's a moose by my tree!  Inspired by the DCWV Winter in the Woods stack. I love the winter colors in the stack and used them as inspiration to color the moose. I thought he would look great by my Christmas tree :) My husband thought he would make the moose 'cool' by adding sunglasses. Very appropriate for a Southern California moose :)

DCWV & Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Winter Blog Hop

Image
Welcome to the DCWV and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Winter blog hop! Both blogs will be sharing fun winter projects featuring products from both companies! Check in each day on both blogs for chances to win lots of fabulous prizes! I created this mini album for the hop :)     using some of these products: I used the Christmas Creations stack for the cover. I gave the hat lots of texture and shine by mixing Faber Castle Design Memory Craft Glass Bead Glitter Gel and Whipped Spackle.    I used a thick dry brush to give it texture and fanned it out on the edges to keep the soft look.    Inside the covers there are pages of different sizes. I'll add photos, journaling and memorabilia after Christmas :)    This snowflake is a piece of the Christmas and Winter 180 stack. I gave it a 'snowy' look by adding the mixture of Glass Beads and Whipped Spackle. It's thinner paper, but the media didn't wrinkle or buckle

I hope you get a chance to play this month. The sketch is super easy to work with and I really like the little added detail on the edge. I used the 5 pack premium papers. This is actually on the back of the 'happy' LO you can see that here: http://madebykarla10.blogspot.com/2014/11/hello-sunshine.html    Join us for the challenge here: http://www.dcwvinc.blogspot.com/2014/12/december-stack-holic-challenge.html Have a great week ;)
