This month's Emma Jewell Crafts box was loaded with goodies about the love of crafting.  There were a few really fun pieces like pom poms, sequins, clothespins, and a 'craft addict' pin. I turned these items into a place to hang my daughters drawings and crafty projects.   I used twine and a yarn needle to thread   pom poms and sequins. Then, I clipped on the clothespins and used them to hang the big card that comes in the box as well as the pin and my daughter's recent drawings. She made a couple rainbows and cut them out. Hello! This month's Emma Jewell Crafts box is full of colorful elements that are perfect for celebrating our crafting hobby. I created this layout using the paper, stickers, tape, journaling cards, sequins, and even the bag they came in! It was my first time using the adhesives in the box and I really liked them. Especially the liquid glue. It dries clear and adheres quickly. The photos are of my daughter and her craft projects at school. She was so excited to use hot glue for the first time. Don't be alarmed, they have a special glove and the teachers help. In this layout, I'm celebrating her creations and her love of crafting. I used the holographic tape and the bag as a mat for my photos and I love the way these bright layers show case the photos. The contents of this box worked seamlessly with my current scrapbooking supply stash. That's always important to me because it allows me to use up my stash and make room for more goodies.

Hello Fellow Glitter Enthusiasts! I was so excited to receive my April kit. I combined it with some bits from the shop to create a scrapbook layout.  I've been wanting to document our names going to Mars on the Insight mission last year but none of my supplies inspired me. When I looked through my box, it just hit me and I went looking for our 'tickets.' The April travel themed box plus the space themed supplies in the shop are the perfect combination for documenting this!  I used a neutral 12x12 background and added one of the A4 papers on top of that. To add some more dimension, I added foam dots behind some of the stickers. I used my old fashioned scalloped edge scissors to create the border strips out of the rectangular sticker strips included in the kit. I like that these stickers can be punched and die cut to add more embellishments to your projects. I finished off my layout with some sequins. Glue dots are my favorite for attaching

Hello! Today, I want to share this little suit case I made with the April craft box. This box came at a perfect   time, right before my husband was leaving on a business trip. Every time he goes on a business trip, I make him a card and include some photos. Now that my daughter is older she draws or writes something for him too. This time, I thought I would change it up a bit. I made the DIY suitcase with the pattern included in the April box and decorated some of the tags to go along with it. I'm not expecting him to take a 3D paper item on his trip, so I'm giving him one of the envelopes to keep the tags in. I traced the pattern the old school way by tracing it with a pencil. Then I turned over onto the back of the paper I wanted to use for the suitcase and rubbed the back of the pattern with a stylus. This allowed the carbon to transfer and create a copy of the pattern.
