Tea time!

Image
So, Shimelle has a lot of tea time embellishments and I kept waiting to scrap these photos of tea time on one of our cruises. We LOVE tea time!  We met some friends of the cruise and they liked to do tea time once in a while, but we would NOT miss it. LOL Scones with cream and jam are our favorite. The journaling is in a vellum envelope behind the photo :)  I used both Shimelle collections and some of My Mind's Eye Market Street. View blog post for supplies

Meeting Santa Paws

Image
Oh my goodness! I thought I had published this! Haha! Well...here ya go! Hey Stack-a-holics! I'm here with my LO for the June DCWV stack-a-holic challenge .I thought I wasn't gonna make it this month. I thought I was going to miss the deadline to enter my layout as part of the inspiration this month. But I made it and I'm so happy with it! I've been wanting to scrap some of the beautiful Christmas photos we took this year.  Here's baby meeting Santa Paws. My husband thought the mall santa was too germy, so our dog Jacob was Santa Paws.  I used the Winter in the woods stack for the background and the rest of the papers are from the Jolly Whimsy stack.  I cut some embellishments from the Jolly Whimsy stack and the rest are Freckled Fawn embellishments I got in their mother's day sale. I finished it off with some DCWV pearls.   Here's the sketch this month (courtesy of Pagemaps ):  Hope you get a chance to play with us!

Rock the gift giving

Image
There's a family member who is a musician and his birthday is coming up.  All of us, kids, are going to pitch in to help him buy a certain instrument he's been wanting.  It's really more of a sentimental gift. So he can have something from all of us.  I made this little box as a way to present the cash we're going to collect for him.  I went straight to the DCWV 5 pack special papers and mailer boxes which are both available at Joann stores.  I knew there was the guitar and star print in one of the packs.  I used the DCWV guitar mirror stickers with the lightning bolts (also at J's). The music notes are wood veneer which I inked silver and black. To finish it off, I added number washi tape around the edge of the box.  ...BUT...DCWV Mailer Boxes come in twos.... Here's what I did with the other one:  This one was a gift for a friend. It had something delicious inside!     ...

I can finally show you...

Image
I can finally show you... what I made my mom for Mother's day!  It's a photo book (almost) full of baby pictures. Since she doesn't get to see her every day, I thought she could look through this when she misses her. And of course, she can use it to show off to family and friends like a good grandma! I used the DCWV Baby Girl Mini book. The mini books come with paper embellishments, washi tape pieces and washi tape stickers. It is super fast to put one together.   There are some vellum pages, pockets and envelopes scattered through out the book. I made sure to leave space for future pictures and memorabilia. I used a date stamp on most photos... I decorated some blank pages but added the adhesive off to the side, so she can still slide the photo under the embellishment. What products make gifting hand-made items quick and fun for you?

First Easter

Image
Once in a while I use paper that is not DCWV paper. I know, crazy! I have so much paper but sometimes it's just too pretty to pass up! That's what happened with this Dear Lizzy Serendipity paper and with lots of Shimelle papers. Just couldn't say no!  So I used some pretty paper to document the baby's first Easter with egg hunt and everything! Love the letter stickers! I tucked our wrist bands and info paper behind the photo :)  Do you incorporate memorabilia into your scrapbooks? View blog post for supplies

Over the weekend, the new DCWV sketch challenge was posted. Right on National Scrapbooking Day (NSD).  Were you able to do any scrapping?  I did, only one page, but it's something!  I'll share that another day :) In the meantime, here's what I did for the challenge:  This is an interactive LO. You flip the photo up and there's another photo!  I used the DCWV Adhesive Fabric stack as a photo mat and to attach the photos and paper mats to the LO. The journaling is underneath the photo.  This is the Boutique Vintage stack.    Here's the sketch:  ...and if cards are your thing, here's a sketch for you!  Don't forget to enter my giveaway!  Just click my blog name and it should be the top post...or click HERE See you soon :)
