Halloween Jewelry with Blue Moon Beads

Image
Hello! It's almost October and I'm excited to be able to wear the Halloween jewelry I made with the Blue Moon Beads Holiday Frights line.  The Spider hair pin is my favorite piece. I simply used wire to secure the spider to a hair clip. My daughter's Ariel doll is modeling it for us.  This Candy Necklace can also be wrapped around as a charm bracelet. I love pieces that are versatile :)  We're big Walking Dead fans at out house and this Zombie necklace and earring set was so easy to make. I just used a black ribbon for the necklace.  Next time you're at Joann stores, check out the Holiday Frights line and get in the spirit!

Hello! I have a layout all about being thankful.  Who says you have to wait for november?! lol  This is my take on the DCWV Stack-a-holic challenge this month. This was a fun sketch because the placement of the photos is very different than what I would choose on my own :) Make sure to play along and you could win some new DCWV goodies.  Just visit the DCWV Blog for details and more inspiration from the rest of the awesome design team.

The patterns are already die cut, so all I had to do was pop them out of the stack and  assemble them. I love to have something to do while I watch TV and these Acorns got assembled during a  Downton Abby marathon :)  A couple tips: 1. Use a pencil to curl the ends of the acorn tops for a 'cuter' look. 2. I found hot glue to be the best adhesive option. Use tweezers while assembling to avoid burning fingers. Embellishing the Acorn tops was SO much fun!  Probably the best part of the whole process.  I used beads, buttons, wood veneer and wire from my stash.  Next, fil...
