Anniversary in the clouds

Finally getting to work on these pictures from 2 years ago!
I found this Dear Lizzy Neapolitan paper stack at Michaels that had the vellum, banners, and stickers.
I love that collection and have a few pieces from it.
This page looked so busy to me, I decided to tuck the journaling away in the vellum piece in the middle. I tucked in our tickets there also :)

Loving Sunday Afternoon

...and this Polaroid stamp too :)

This picture was originally a 4x6. Vesuvius was lost in the rest of the stuff around us. I had to cut it to frame what matters in the picture. To really frame it, I stamped a Polaroid frame from Unity on a paper from the chickadee stack and put it over the picture. The rest of the papers are the new Sunday Afternoon stack. I'm also excited about this new flair I bought at Joscie's. I found her browsing through scrapbooking blogs, so I'm spreading the word! :)
Don't mean to sound like a commercial but there's just too much good stuff lately.

I'm entering this in the Unity Be Inspired Challenge using the color inspiration. I love these colors and Sunday afternoon just happens to use them :))

Hope you enjoyed your visit!

Spring Fling Blog Hop

Welcome to the DCWV/Tombow Spring Fling Blog hop.

This week, DCWV and Tombow have teamed up to spread a little bit of spring fever. Both design teams are excited to show you just what we have done with the My Sunshine and Chickadee stacks from DCWV, and some amazing adhesive products from Tombow.

If you have come here from Marie's blog then you're on track!

I decided to make a mini book using both stacks. This one is for my nephew. Every time we tell him to say 'cheese' for the camera, he comes up with a new face :) It's adorable and it's about time I document it too.

I used the Tombow Dot Stamp Roller to adhere mostly everything in the mini. I have to confess that I will be keeping this little tool on my desk from now on. I love how easy it is to get glue dots on small details. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortably it fits in my hand too. It's awesome :))

I stitched over the see-through title but used dots from the
stamp roller to keep the letters on the paper while I sewed.

Love the beautiful edges of the chickadee stack :)

This was seriously my nephew's "cheese" face for a while :))

Love the new DCWV envelopes and pockets
I put a picture of one of his first "school projects" from
his toddler class.
I like to fussy cut usually while I watch TV,
as you can see I fussy cut quite a few pieces from the chickadee stack.

I used the Tombow Power Tabs to put the banner together before sticking it on the front cover. I love the subtle dimension they give. Since they can hold heavier embellishments, they're so versatile. Dimension and strength ;)

I'm not a fan of liquid glue. I use tape/dot adhesive almost exclusively. But I got the Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue and I'm so excited to say, I will be keeping this around too! I spread a thin layer of glue on the envelope tab and let it dry. When its dry, it becomes removable. It's tacky like a post it! now I can open & close the envelope! genius :)
Of course if you stick the papers to each other while the glue is wet, it's permanent

If you're wondering how I made the mini, I  just folded in half pages from My Sunshine  to 6x12, then cut them to 6x8. This allowed me to sew and put brads through the My Sunshine pages without it showing on the page behind it. Then I used the Tombow liquid glue to adhere the folded pages.  Throughout the mini, I also used pages from Chickadee (which is double sided!) and cut those to 6xa little less than 8" (so the pretty edge would show against the paper underneath).

Be sure to visit all the projects featured this week and leave a comment for your chance to win! We will be giving away both the My Sunshine and Chickadee stacks to 2 lucky readers, and one amazing package of Tombow Adhesive including NEW Stamp Runner Permanent Adhesive, NEW Stamp Runner, Dot Pattern Adhesive, MONO Multi Liquid Glue, NEW Power Tabs and MONO Glue Stick, 0.77 oz to one other lucky reader! The more you comment, the more chances you have to win!

Hope you Enjoyed your Visit! Come back soon :)

Now, head on over to Emily to see what kind of spring craftiness she has in store!

March Stack-a-holic Challenge

The little flair button next to the picture says: 'Happiness is where you find it.'
Even on a ride to the vet :)
I truly believe that. If you wait around for happiness, it might never come.
But you can find it anywhere you are.

This is for the March Stack-a-holic challenge over at the DCWV blog

Hello Cutie!

What a cute way to start a new month :)

I loved it when my nephew discovered he could put his arms in his overalls.
He would walk around like that and of course we thought it was adorable so he kept doing it.

This is the new baby boy stack from DCWV I love the prints and colors. So modern!
I know I'll be using this stack for projects that are not baby related. There's a lot of variety in this one. The arrows and hearts are Freckled Fawn washi, except for one Studio Calico wood veneer.
See you soon!
