My Memories Giveaway!!! You want to win this one!

Image
Hey Everyone! Ready for another giveaway?! I'm giving away a digital scrapbooking software called My Memories Suite . I've been playing with it and so far I love it! I'm really a paper, glue and glimmer mist kind of girl but I tried this software and I'm pretty hooked! I don't think it's about replacing traditional scrapbooking. It's about enhancing it and using it in different ways. *This one is only for U.S and Canada residents due to zoning restrictions on the software. Sorry my international friends :(* I had a quick play with it and this is what I made yesterday afternoon:   How cute is my little nephew?! I'm emailing his mom this page as soon as I'm done here :) With  this software  I can make layouts and  send them to friends and family  all over the world for free!  I can also print out the digital albums into a cool greeting card, photo book or calendar! This definitely has potential! It took me about 15 minutes, that includes fus...

Hello WOYWWers!!!  114?! Wow! Where have I been? I've missed you all! I hope everyone is doing well :) I'm glad to go visit old blogland friends as soon as I'm done here.  So much on my desk today....Let's see....      I'm bringing hypotrochoids back (those little repeating circular patterns)...It would be great if it caught on as the next hot scrapbooking trend, you saw it here first! LOL  I'm bringing it back in my own work at least ;)  I still have the LO from yesterday on the desk, some more pictures to scrap, those Maya Road acrylic shapes are still out too...geez, I need to clean up! ooh...there's some cookies I brought back from Italy. They're apricot flavor and they're delicious! LOL...look at my calendar! It's so behind!  oh yeah...in case you don't know me, that starbucks cup is actually just for my mp3 player. The top of the cup is a speaker!  I see some of that hand dyed seam binding I got from the scrapbooking cottage...

The Best of Naples

Image
I finally coaxed my mojo back from his extended vacation. I gotta stop taking my crafting time for granted.  Some of the most amazing times we had were in Naples. We hiked Mt. Vesuvius, visited Pompeii, had pizza at l'Antica Pizzeria da Michelle (yes, from the movie Eat, Pray, Love and yes, it was delicious!) and we had gelato. All in that order! Naples definitely had a lot to offer.  I was inspired by the sketch posted at the DCWV blog  for their monthly sketch challenge. It's going on until the 29th so you have plenty of time to enter. Cardstock: DCWV World Traveler stack and The Pets stack (brown and blue strip).

An unusual souvenir

Image
Hello everyone! Let me start at the beginning...I've recently started saving packages from my scrapbooking supplies to alter and re use in different ways. I never got to alter any packages before going on vacation. Then, a few weeks ago we were in Athens, Greece and my husband decided to bring a somewhat unusual souvenir....Shhh!      Here's the little souvenir... I'm not saying which one it is. I used the paper inside the packaging and traced it on a piece of scrapbooking paper to make the new background. On the right you can see how I kept it in place. I sewed it around the main branch in a few places.  The end result...well, almost. I'm going to write the date and location. I'm also going to cover the back with a matching piece of paper and maybe a small picture of us at the location... Since we got back, my creative mojo is nowhere to be found! Haven't done a single LO yet, despite actually having printed pictures. How sad! Whether...
