An unusual souvenir
Hello everyone!
Let me start at the beginning...I've recently started saving packages from my scrapbooking supplies to alter and re use in different ways. I never got to alter any packages before going on vacation. Then, a few weeks ago we were in Athens, Greece and my husband decided to bring a somewhat unusual souvenir....Shhh!
The end result...well, almost. I'm going to write the date and location. I'm also going to cover the back with a matching piece of paper and maybe a small picture of us at the location...
Since we got back, my creative mojo is nowhere to be found! Haven't done a single LO yet, despite actually having printed pictures. How sad!
Whether my mojo wanted to show up or not, I needed a wedding card for my husband's cousin. I know full well she won't see this, so I feel I can show you guys.

Here's the little souvenir... I'm not saying which one it is. I used the paper inside the packaging and traced it on a piece of scrapbooking paper to make the new background. On the right you can see how I kept it in place. I sewed it around the main branch in a few places.

Cardstock, sticker, border punch and bling are all by Recollections from Michaels |
The cardstock is a pearly, shimmery white and the accent and envelope are shimmery silver. The cake is actually a sticker that comes with bling. The added bling are clear hearts. I made the card with a flap and punched the edge, then I added a silver strip underneath, also punched. I made the envelope with my Enveloper, which has the little designs to emboss on the envelopes.
oh, yeah...here's the inside:

That's all for today! Stay out of the heat!

ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog....glad you are enjoying the freebies!
Karla your wedding card is beautiful! I wanted to stop by and thank you for your kind words about the loss of my Mother. It meant a lot to me to hear from you and your sentiment about not taking your ability to craft for granted... I too have lost my mojo but after seeing what Mom went through I will try not to ever let that go to far from me again. Thanks again, you are ever so sweet!
