Cannons, cannons and more cannons!

This is a work in progress. My creative juices have been running low the past couple days but I managed to start on this page. I still need journaling and few more embellies and details. But it's sitting on my desk waiting for me to get to it. I figured it would be fun to post this and then the finished version later. 


The stamps are Stamper's Best (camera and frames) and Crafter's Companion (compass and quote) 
The papers are the new For the Record collection by Echo Park.

I think the writing adds a lot without adding anymore embellishment. 
It was fun to compare the two. Journaling definitely makes a big difference!


I'm entering this in the crafter's companion polkadots or stripes September challenge.

Christmas with Clear Scraps & DCWV

Welcome to Day 2 of the DCWV and Clear Scraps blog hop! You should have come from Britt's blog: http://pinkpapercrowns.blogspot.com Thanks for making it this far!  On to the project... I might have a LO or 2 about Christmas....Why? I just never get around to making more of them! The Holidays are usually too crazy and then I get into doing LOs of just ever day stuff or travel pics... and the holidays just get forgotten.  This year, I'm ready! I'll have the album pre-made, I just have to stick on the pictures and add some journaling! I used this 8x8 tabbed acrylic album from Clearscraps to create a Christmas mini that is ready to go.  The papers are Christmas Memories with a little bit of the Christmas and winter Diecut stack, the Christmas basics 6x6 & the Burlap stack.
