WOYWW 68

Hello Everyone!
I can't believe it's Wednesday again, time is flying by so fast!
I'd like to show you some more of my crafting space this week. I share the room with the hubby, so I only get half of it but I guess it's better than nothing!

Here you can see my shelves to the left I'm still moving stuff around. I don't think I've made the best use of the space I have.

I just got this flower area put together last weekend. I'm so excited! I love flowers. The basket on the right has border punches and wood stamps but I don't like my stamps in the basket...any ideas on how else to store them in the shelf?
The magazine files next to the  basket have acrylic stamp sets inside. I made the files out of cereal boxes and covered them with leftover shelf liner.

Here's a close up of what's on my desk:
I've been working on this page about coffee....as many of you know, I'm a big fan. So often there are pictures of me and hubby drinking java (that's what we're doing in the pic). I'm using the black currant stack by DCWV. It's really beautiful and I was so anxious to use it. I think it's great with black and white pictures because the paper colors are so strong and rich.
LOL...I just noticed...there's ribbon on the rack, in the straw basket, in the white basket under the straw basket, in one of the glass jars to the left, and in at least 2 places under my desk!!! LOL...oh boy, do I have a problem!

Ok, now I'm off to see your crafting space!

~ Happy WOYWW!

  2. Love the flower shelf. As to storing stamps, I don't have any suggestions, I think the basket is as good a place as anywhere.
Looks an interesting project you have started with the DCWV paper.
Let us se it, when finished.
    Have a great week

  3. You have an awesome work space and those shelves are gorgeous. I spent a lot of time looking for the punches, and realized the didn't show. As for your rubber stamps, your shelves are too high for rubber stamps. You want something flat, like those plastic drawers below your desk. Depending upon how many you have, shelves over your desk might be an option. Just a thought.

  13. I think your crafting space looks lovely, we are very lucky to have a place of our own - I thank my lucky stars every day that I have a place to craft.

I really need to tackle my ribbon, it is all over the place at the moment and I only use a certain amount of it, just can't bear to throw any away!

  20. This is my kind of place. Love the papers you are working with. I have a problem storing my stamps too - best place I think is to have them out neatly on a shelf so you can see them all but then who has a large spare shelf free!

  21. Lovely space Karla, it'll take time to put it all together, I've had my space for almost a year and I still swap things around. Don't worry about the ribbon, a girl can never have too much bling, lol, I should know! What are the large canvasses for to the left of your desk for? You said last week we had things in common, you were not wrong.... I'm a huge coffee lover too! They call me the coffee snob at work because I have a French Press, organic coffee and organic half and half! There's nothing worse than anticipating a wonderful cup o Joe and then being sorely disappointed!!

  27. Lol, I have a stamp problem! I store my mounted stamps in one of two ways: either on a narrow shelf, which is my favourite altho you need to put the shelves up, lol, or in shallow 12x12 translucent boxes, which sit in a stack. This doesn't work for stamps you use frequently, and I do love seeing mounted stamps on a shelf. I've bought stamps second hand before which have been badly stored, and sometimes they have an area that has been squashed and is no longer flush with the rest of the image. Bad news! Don't be glum about your half-a-craft-room, I have to sneak bits off the living room, lol! Helen (46)

  28. What a lovely space you have, and so organised! I am jealous! There is no such thing as too much ribbon. Too much of a good thing is a wonderful thing I say.

  29. What a joy your crafting area is to look at. Looks as though you've got it organised perfectly. Storing rubber stamps is always a problem - I've got them all over the place! Love your ribbon storage above your desk.

  35. I think you've made great use of space - and I think sharing the space with your No1 man is nice. I don't share anything well, so am impressed at your space being yours and not half of his as well! I like the papers you've chosen, rich and almost aromatic! Ribbons huh? Is that a collection of collections then? These seem to be cropping up here on the WOYWW reveals!

  36. Those papers look utterly scrumptious! Love your workspace

  38. You have a wonderful space for crafting & really getting it organized.

  39. Great workspace you have there - very organised! I actually took the plunge and took all my rubber stamps off their wooden blocks so that I can now store them in A4 binders like my acrylic ones - had to really as I had far too many and ended up never really using them as they were stored in about 10 shoe boxes and I could never find the one I wanted easily. I have found I use them all a lot more now. Sunshine Girl (28)

  40. What a clever idea covering cereal boxes with paper and using them as files. I think that is brilliant!
The paper you have used for your LO does look good - super choice and I love your photo cubes if that is what they are.
    Great desk - good snoop!

  43. Great space and you can never have enough ribbons! You could code all your stamps, stamp onto paper and have your designs on file - great for flicking through for inspiration, saves space and ;ets you see all you've got - either store your stamps in a box or up on a high shelf and just get the right ones when needed...
